Don't know about you, but we are suckers for anything designed by Philippe Stark. And our favorite color is orange. So it was love at first sight the first time we stepped out of the elevator into Butterfly Studio's second floor loft space. The vibe is SOHO loft meets zen gorgeousness (make sure to spend a moment communing with the Koi swimming about in the pool set into the floor), with a twist of energetic bustle and fun. The staff is impeccably well trained and attentive (and we usually don't develop such fondness for strangers unless they are standing behind a bar). And set off to the side, if you are looking for ESCAPE, stands one of only three Kerastase treatment centers in the country, with foggable glass walls and noise-reducing doors. Play hooky for a whole afternoon and follow your cut/color with a to-die-for scalp and hair treatment. And did we mention it includes a scalp, neck and shoulder massage?
